Sumter Landing  is an eclectic mix of old Florida-style buildings, ranging from Victorian-style to "old" Florida waterfront and Florida cracker-type buildings. The unique waterfront features restaurants, shops, an eight-screen movie theater with stadium seating, a lighthouse, entertainment gazebo and other diversions.  Additionally, the new downtown area  includes a variety of buildings contributing to the town-like atmosphere. Civic centers sit alongside  shopping areas, which are all within short walking distance from residential areas.
